Before your first visit
Visitors are welcome in most mosques, and many hold regular open days. You will be asked to remove your shoes, and modest dress is appreciated. Nobody will pressure you to participate; you can simply watch from the back. Read what a mosque is like inside.
If you are a new Muslim or thinking about becoming one, the New Muslim Foundation works with mosques to welcome newcomers, and our New Muslim support page lists more help.
